Zakat (Copy)

When a Muslim pays Zakat on their wealth, they fulfill the third pillar of Islam, without which one’s faith is incomplete. Zakat is a form of gratitude to Allah Almighty for His blessings and bounty, and it is one of the greatest deeds that brings a servant closer to their Lord, Glory be to Him.”

The virtue of Zakat is immense in our religion; Allah Almighty said: <<يَمْحَقُ اللَّهُ الرِّبَا وَيُرْبِي الصَّدَقَاتِ>> The linguistic meaning of Zakat is ‘growth,’ as it increases wealth, and ‘purification,’ as it purifies souls from sins and cleanses hearts from transgressions. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:< <‘Charity extinguishes sin just as water extinguishes fire.>>’ The greatest impact of Zakat is that it lifts the poor out of need and restrains the rich from greed, making it a fundamental pillar for the well-being of individuals and societies

Zakat is an obligatory act of worship for Muslims, and it is a foundational solution to addressing the hardships of those in need. As the Al-Shatibi Association for Education and Support, we continuously deliver aid throughout all 12 months of the year to impoverished regions and to our brothers and sisters enduring poverty and misery in refugee camps. Let us live in the spirit of mutual cooperation. Donate your Zakat to Turkey, Lebanon, Palestine, and other vulnerable areas; you have brothers and sisters around the world waiting for your support and solidarity.
